Hey, I'm Lilly!
I’m a passionate artist with a deep love for fantasy and manga-style illustration. My creative journey began back in 2003 with traditional tools—just paper and pencils. While still in school, I created small doujinshis for the school newspaper, but everything changed when I got my first graphic tablet, a Wacom Bamboo, and discovered the world of digital art with Photoshop.
Over the years, I’ve shared my work on platforms like Animexx and DeviantArt, and more recently on Instagram. Though I originally studied computer science, my passion for art led me to switch paths and pursue a career in the creative field. Along the way, I became self-employed, working on commissions and design projects while refining my skills.
Fantasy has always been a big part of my life—not just in my drawings, but also in my hobbies. Whether through reading or gaming, I love immersing myself in imaginative worlds. Now, with all the experience I’ve gathered, I want to share my knowledge and help others bring their own creative visions to life.
That’s why I created this drawing course—to guide and inspire you on your own artistic journey. I hope to help you develop your skills, explore new techniques, and most importantly, have fun along the way!

Introduction
In the first module, you'll get an overview of the course and meet your teacher. You'll explore my artistic journey, inspirations, and what to expect from the lessons. We'll also dive into using references effectively and finding the right sources. To kick off your creativity, you'll complete "Exercise 1: Moodboard", helping you gather ideas for your artwork.
Procreate
This module will guide you through the essential functions and gestures of Procreate, helping you navigate the app with ease. You'll learn how to customize settings, explore different brushes, and even create your own. We’ll also cover layer settings and blending modes to enhance your workflow. To apply your new skills, you'll complete "Exercise 2: Create a Sketch with Your Own Brush" and start personalizing your digital drawing process.
Heads - Basics
In module 3, we will dive deep into the fundamentals of drawing heads, from basic structure to exploring different perspectives. You’ll learn how to draw the eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and neck, focusing on their proportions and placement. We’ll also cover various hair structures and styles, from short to long hairstyles, with some helpful tips and tricks. Additionally, we’ll explore how to express different emotions through facial features. To put your learning into practice, you’ll complete "Exercise 3: Sketches in Different Perspectives", gaining confidence in character design.
Fantasy Elements & Accessoires
This module focuses on incorporating fantasy elements into your character designs, such as unique facial features that add flair and personality. You’ll learn how to draw and color fantasy accessories, including jewelry, metal elements, and various types of hair, ear, neck, and clothing accessories. In "Exercise 4: Turn Your Sketch into a Fantasy Character", you will apply these techniques to transform a basic character design into a vibrant, fantastical creation.
Colors
Here you'll explore the fundamentals of General Color Theory and how to use light and shadow effectively to create depth and mood. Learn how colors can change the emotion of a drawing and how to use them for maximum impact. You’ll dive into creating a harmonious color palette and experiment with color special effects to bring your characters to life. For "Exercise 5: Draw 3 Different Colored Portraits", you’ll apply your new color knowledge by experimenting with different palettes and seeing how they alter the character’s vibe.
Project from Start to Finish
This module covers the entire character creation process. Start by searching for references and creating a Moodboard. Move on to thumbnailing, sketching, and lineart, then choose and apply flat colors. Learn how to add shadow and light for depth, followed by rendering and special effects to enhance your design. Finally, finalize your character. For Exercise 6, create a complete portrait to apply everything you’ve learned.
Ending
In the final module, you’ll learn how to create easy backgrounds to complement your characters. We’ll also cover preparing for social media and content planning to showcase your work. Get helpful tips and tricks to refine your process, and once you’ve completed everything, download your certificate. Finally, we’ll wrap up with feedback and an opportunity to show your work in Exercise 7.
